Practically, a Class 1 or Class 2 e-bike is the right tool here and neither one requires a second thought. If your bike is a Class 3, ride it in a lower-assist mode or just accept you're moving at the same speed as everyone else, because the rule caps speed, not motor class.

Missouri doesn't post e-bike checkpoints, but the 20 mph line gets enforced the same way any other trail speed rule does, mostly by complaint and mostly in the crowded stretches near wineries and small-town trailheads on summer weekends.
