I'm Dominic.
I run real AI work from the road — and I write down exactly how, with the numbers.
I've spent 30 years in enterprise IT — building systems, leading security and infrastructure, and running projects for large organizations as a senior IT manager. I'm PMP and CompTIA Security+ certified. That background shapes everything here: I think in systems, redundancy, and failure modes, because that's the job.
I'm also 62, an RV traveler, and a daily AI power user. When the road calls, I take the office with me — running Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok over Starlink, off generator power, from an RV. Not for demos. For real work: building websites, debugging code, planning trips, managing projects.
Why this site exists
There is endless content about the dream of working from the road, and almost none about the engineering of it. What actually happens to your Starlink when the AC compressor cycles? What does a month of generator fuel really cost? How do water and waste tanks quietly dictate your work calendar? I lived the answers, measured them, and wrote them down.
Every article carries original field data — wattage, fuel burn, Starlink speeds, dollar costs. The kind of thing an AI content farm can't fake, because it has never hauled the water.
A note on how I work
I have a vision condition that limits my screen time, so I lean heavily on voice input and AI agents to get things done. If accessibility and working smarter rather than longer is your world too, you'll feel at home here.
